Tell us about yourself.

“My name is Christina Hall, I’m 30, I’m originally from Jamaica but I grew up in the Bronx and I’m a visual merchandiser.”

How long have you been a sneaker lover?

“Probably since I was like 7, that’s when I got my first pair and those were the Taxi 12s. Ever since then it has been one long expensive road.”

Do you remember your introduction to the sneaker game?

“Yeah, the Taxi 12s were my first pair I got because my older brother got them. I wasn’t into sneakers and had like Barbie sneakers and light up sneakers but I wanted to be like my big brother so I got those and ever since then it was like love at first sight.”

What is your favorite pair of sneakers?

“Whatever pair I’m wearing at the moment. I can’t pick a favorite. That’s like the hardest question for me. So yeah, whatever pair I’m wearing at the moment is my favorite pair.”

What are you wearing now?

“My feminist t-shirt is from Missguided, my skirt is from Nasty Gal and I’m wearing the women’s exclusive Satin Backboard 1s.”

What is your favorite sneaker colorway?

“I’m gonna go with classic black and white because you cant go wrong with a black and white sneaker and it goes with everything.”

If you could collaborate with any sneaker brand, who would you collaborate with and why?

“Probably Adidas because I don’t see many women collaborating with them right now. Nike has women like Aleali May and Vashtie and I think Adidas needs to start doing the same thing with their company and start collaborating with more women.”

What do you think the sneaker game is missing?

“Accessibility. It’s way too hard to get sneakers for actual sneaker lovers nowadays so I think they need to figure out a way to get sneakers in the hands of people who actually want them versus re-sellers.”
