Tell us about yourself.

“Heyyyyy, I'm Heather Marshall, 35 from Inglewood, CA and I am the Owner of Something For The Aunties, LLC. It's my jiggy clothing brand that is geared towards Auntie's with a Tomboy flare.”

How long have you been a sneaker lover?

“Me and sneakers have been in love since I was 10/11 years old.”

Do you remember your introduction to the sneaker game?

“My first memory of really caring about shoes comes from my older cousin Justin. He had every shoe growing up and would treat his shoes like kids, so I guess you can say he put me on. I would watch him circle his shoes in the Eastbay catalogs and such. So when I got my first pair of Jordans it was a wrap, those were my kids also. It's been over since then.”

What is your favorite pair of sneakers?

“My fave pair of sneakers are the Air Max 91 Anniversary Red. It's just a classic shoe that goes with everything and it looks good on any fit.”

What are you wearing now?

“Right now I'm wearing the Aleali May Jordan 1, her latest release. Very well crafted shoe, I'm impressed (LOL).”

What is your favorite sneaker colorway?

“This is tough because I like so many, but if I had to pick one it would be anything with orange and white. I like my shoes to stand out and orange is also my fave color.”

If you could collaborate with any sneaker brand, who would you collaborate with and why?

“Nike duhhhh, checks over stripes any day baby! Nike is just the household name, it's the blueprint, the IT brand. They have so many different styles and colorways and it just fits my personal style.”

What do you think the sneaker game is missing?

“Integrity. I'm from the era where you could still walk in the mall to Footlocker and just buy your shoes over the counter without all the raffles and BS. I miss those days. Now it's a bunch of buying up shoes just to resell for crazy amounts of money and they have no fits or style. I miss the people who genuinely like shoes and want to show them off.”
